Kennith Watts, Jr. is a seasoned audio engineer and musician who earned his Bachelors of Arts in General Music with a Double Concentration in Recording Technology and Trombone Performance from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. 

Kennith's performance experience is within the indoor and outdoor realms, starting with marching baritone, serving as drum major, and marching snare drum from 2013 to 2019 with Carolina Gold Drum and Bugle Corps. His indoor experience comes with marching baritone for Midas Winds (2016) and being a co-founder and Assistant Director of Alchemy Independent Percussion (2017-2019).

His expertise in pageantry design and audio engineering is as dynamic as his passion for music, as evidenced by his diverse roles in the field. Starting as the UNCW Event Recording Manager in 2012, he played a crucial role in developing the applied music technology track. His journey continued at UNCW’s Kenan Auditorium as a sound engineer in 2017. He joined the audio team at CFCC’s The Wilson Center in 2019, which puts on touring Broadway shows, and worked as an Audio Lead / Department Head for LiveNation venue, Live Oak Bank Pavilion at Riverfront Park. Kennith most recently joined the touring audio team for the Boston Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps, serving as a second A1 Percussion Operator / Systems Analyst in 2022, Lead Engineer in 2023, and the Audio Caption Manager / Systems Designer in 2024.
